If you're registering kids for a youth event, the contact person for the registration is usually a parent or guardian who isn't actually attending the event. But in many other cases the contact person is one of the attendees.
With those registrations in mind, we've added registration contact suggestions when creating or editing a registration! All attendees on the registration are included in the dropdown list, but you still have the ability to add Someone else as needed:
