Simple Signups

You may not need to know who is registering, but you need to know how many people to plan for and possibly collect payments. For these scenarios, use a simple signup!

  • Flexible selections allow people to choose multiple selections, reserve how many they want in a single registration, and make payments if necessary.

  • Waitlists allow people to sign up, even if selections are full.

  • Split registrations allow people to reserve more than one date or time for each selection.

  • With no personal information to collect, there's less to manage.

Create a Simple Signup

The process of creating a simple signup is the same as other signups. Just choose the Simple option when selecting the signup type, then select Next.

Caution

Once created, you can not change the signup type.

Manage Selections for Attendees

Use the tabs under Configuration to add details and set up your signup, including your selections.

  1. Add new selections for people to choose from.

  2. Drag and drop selections to re-arrange the order displayed on Church Center.

  3. Add or edit capacities.

  4. Enable the waitlist option for each selection.

  5. Set the maximum selections per registration and enable split registrations.

Create Simple Selections

  1. Enter the name you want people to see when choosing a selection and add a cost.

    Tip

    If there's no cost, set the price to $0, and it will be displayed in Church Center as "free."

  2. Set your Church Center and deposit options for this selection.

    1. Uncheck the Show on Church Center box to remove the selection from the public page on Church Center. Only a manager or administrator can register people for hidden selections.

    2. Partial Payments allow a person to register without requiring an online payment. You can also use them to require a deposit when registering, which allows them to finish paying their balance later. If you plan to accept cash or checks, set the deposit amount as $0.

  3. Add a custom confirmation message with details specific to this selection.

  4. Select Save to create the selection.

Set Selection Capacity

  1. Set the maximum capacity for each selection.

  2. Enter the total capacity allowed for this signup. If you do not enter a total capacity, it will show as unlimited, and the signup capacity will equal the sum of the selection capacities.

  3. Select Save to set the capacities.

    Notice

    If your signup is published, these changes will be reflected in Church Center immediately.

Manage Registrant Options

From the Settings tab, manage registrant options by choosing what information to collect from Registration contacts and requiring login before registering.

  1. Registration contacts are required to provide their name and email when registering. You can collect additional information from the Registration Contact, such as a phone number and address, and make these optional or required fields.

  2. To reduce duplicate profiles, you can require login. A person cannot register for a signup without signing in if a login is required.

    If a login is not required, a person must enter their name and email address, which will create a profile for them.

    Important

    When additional information or online payments are collected, people are required to log in to register.

Register for a Simple Signup Event

People can register from the public page on Church Center, or an administrator can register them from the Registrations tab in the signup.

  1. Select New Registration.

  2. Choose the number of each selection to reserve.

  3. Add a Registration contact (the person to contact with information) and send them a confirmation email.

  4. Select Save.
