We want to make you aware of some important changes we're planning for Notification Lists in Registrations. While we don’t have a specific launch date yet, we think it’s vital to share our thoughts and the reasoning behind these updates.
Here's What's Happening
We've noticed that the way we currently send out notifications—especially during big registration surges—risks overwhelming email providers. This doesn't just impact the delivery of these notifications; it could potentially jeopardize our ability to send any emails reliably through Planning Center. Since reliable email communication is crucial for everything you do with our platform, we need to make some adjustments.
Changes You Can Expect
-
Daily Digests for New Registrations: We're moving to a daily digest system. This means instead of getting an email for each new registration as it happens, you'll receive one summarized email at the end of the day. This will include summary of all the day's registrations, cutting down on email clutter and helping ensure that these emails don't get lost or delayed.
-
Secured Access: Going forward, only users with a Planning Center account can be added to the notification list. This helps keep everyone's data safer and ensures that only the right eyes see sensitive information.
Why This Matters
The bottom line is that we need to protect the reliability of our email system—not just for sending notifications but for all types of communication within Planning Center. We believe these changes will help maintain our high standards of service delivery, ensuring that you can always count on us when it matters most.
Your Thoughts Are Invaluable
