Attendee Types

Utilizing Attendee Types will allow you to control what kind of information is collected for different groups of people.

Attendees Types can be created if you need to keep registrations separate or if you need to charge a different amount for different attendees. In my example, I have our Standard Attendee Type and then a Chaperone Attendee Type.

When you select New Attendee Type, you will see this window appear. From here you will be able to do the following things:

1. Name your Attendee Type and give it a Registration Price. This will be the price that this particular Attendee Type will pay for the event, not including any additional Add-Ons the Attendee Type might add.

2. Select whether the Attendee Type is Public or Private. If the Attendee Type is set to Private (Public-->No), then it will not appear as an option on your event public page. You will only be able to register people for this Attendee Type when you are logged in on the Admin Side

3. If you would like to allow your attendees to make a deposit now and pay their balance later, you can enable partial payments here.

4. Choose what information you would like to collect. You will have three options here: Required, Optional, or Hidden. If you set one of these as Required, your attendees will not be able to complete the registration process without filling out this information. If it is set to Optional, the field will be there to fill out, but your attendees will not need to complete it. Hidden will not show the field at all.

If there is any other information that you need to complete during the registration process, you can add additional Questions.

Assigning Add-Ons, Questions, and Discounts

Once you set up different Attendee Types, you will be able to assign Add-ons, Questions and/or Discounts to those Attendee Types. That means, you can have an Add-on that is only available for one of your Attendee Types, or only ask a list of questions to a single group of people.

When you add or edit an Add-On, Question or Discount, you will see the all of your Attendee Types that you have created. You will then be able to choose which Attendee Types your Add-On should be available to. If you want it available to everyone, leave all of these boxes unchecked.
